During the past year 2021 Xiaomi released a line of mobile devices: the Xiaomi CIVIs. These smartphones in question occupy the premium mid-range segment and seek to stand out above all in design and photography, without leaving other key sections aside. In addition to the original model, the company presented this year the CIVI 1S as an upgraded version on your chipset.
Now, recent reports suggest that the technology giant is now working on the next generation of the family: the Xiaomi CIVI 2. It seems that the arrival of the terminal is very close, since the smartphone recently received the CMIIT certification.
The future Xiaomi CIVI 2 already receives certifications
The source of the leak is the informant Mukul Sharma through his Twitter account. The future Xiaomi CIVI 2 appeared in the listings on the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT) website. The phone is identified by the model number 2209129SC.
The listing also reveals that the terminal will support 5G connectivity and that it will be dual SIM compatible. The device will run the Android operating system, although the version is not specified. It is quite likely that it will still run Android 12 under the company’s MIUI 13 interface.
Rumors suggest that the future Xiaomi CIVI 2 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. As a reminder, the CIVI 1 came with a Snapdragon 778G SoC, while the CIVI 1S featured the slightly more powerful Snapdragon 778G+ chip.
Additionally, the CIVI 2 is said to have a 120Hz curved-edge OLED panel that offers Full HD+ resolution and support for Dolby Vision with an integrated fingerprint reader.
The details of the device’s camera are not yet known. However, it is likely to arrive with a solid camera setup. As a reminder, the CIVI 1S has a triple rear camera setup made up of a 64MP main sensor (with OIS), an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor.
To top it off, its front camera was a 32MP Sony IMX616 with autofocus and dual soft flash.
