The global OPPO Reno 8 Pro receives certifications before its arrival - Gadget Loh


In May, the OPPO Reno 8 Pro premium mid-range phone series was introduced to the Chinese market. These devices stand out especially in the design section, showing off a higher range compared to the one it occupies.

Now, OPPO is preparing to launch the Reno 8 series phones in the global market. It is said that the device could receive a version outside of China first in the Indian market on July 21. Now, the smartphone has also received FCC certification, which means that it will be officially launched soon.

Some confirmed key details of the OPPO Reno 8 Pro

According to the certification, the phone is identified by the model number CPH2357. It receives power from a 4,500 mAh battery. The battery comes with support for 80W SuperVOOC super fast charging. Other than that, the listing reveals that the OPPO Reno 8 Pro runs Android 12 operating system out of the box under the ColorOS 12.1 interface.

The dimensions of the smartphone are established at 61.2 x 74.2 x 7.34 mm and its weight would remain at 183 grams.




Regarding the connectivity section, the phone is compatible with both 5G networks with 4G LTE, along with Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi and an NFC chip. Interestingly, the FCC document says: “Hardware supports 5G NR band n77 and n78 but will be disabled by software and not available in US market“.

OPPO Reno 8 (Global) Specifications

According to previous reports, the Chinese variant of OPPO Reno 8 Pro+ will hit the global market under the name of OPPO Reno 8 Pro. Therefore, the device is expected to have a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen whose refresh rate reaches up to 120Hz.

Internally, it will be powered by the Dimensity 8100 Max MediaTek chipset. To enhance photography, it will integrate OPPO’s MariSilicon X NPU. The hardware will be completed with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Its rear camera configuration will be made up of three sensors. The system will have a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. Up front, it is expected to house a 32MP Sony IMX709 front-facing sensor.

The price of the device is still secret. However, more details are likely to emerge as we get closer to launch. We will be aware of the developments that arise in the future.
