Fitbit, the company focused on health and fitness tracking wearables, has launched two new products. They are about the Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4two devices that share a design, but differ in the functional section.

While the Sense 2 is a health-focused wearable, the Versa 4 is fitness-focused. The Fitbit Sense 2 comes with a Body Response sensor that allows you to track a multitude of health metrics in real time. Both also integrate support for Google Maps and Google Wallet.

The new Fitbit smartwatches run on the brand’s own operating system. They come with a lighter and slimmer body compared to their predecessors. A new physical button is present on both models for easy handling during intense sports and workouts.

All about the Fitbit Versa 4 and Sense 2

Fitbit Sense 2’s Body Response sensor can monitor stress levels throughout the day. It uses heart rate variability and body temperature to measure the level of stress. Fitbit’s ‘stress management’ score provides insight into information and guides users to take action to reduce stress. However, this feature is only available to Fitbit Premium members.


Other bodily functions measured on the Sense 2 include SpO2, respiratory rate, and resting heart rate. You can identify any signs of arterial fibrillation through an ECG app and the PPG algorithm.

The latest version of Fitbit OS claims to be simpler, easier and faster. It has customizable tiles that display information at a glance. Fast Pair and the large number of Google applications reflect the extensive support for Google services. The Fitbit Sense 2 has a battery life of more than 6 days and can be fully charged in 12 minutes.

On the other hand, the Fitbit Versa 4 offers various fitness measures and can take calls. It has up to 40 sports modes that can be activated directly. It comes with GPS functionality and over 1,000 training and mindfulness sessions through Fitbit Premium.


The Versa 4 is lightweight, comfortable and portable. It is made of a durable material to be used without problem even during intense activities. The Versa 4 has a 6-day battery life and also features sleep monitoring.

Price and availability

The Fitbit Sense 2 is priced at $299.95 and comes with a 6-month Premium membership. The Fitbit Versa 4 will retail for $229.95 with a 6-month Fitbit Premium subscription.
