OPPO Pad Air leaves China: premium design and focus on multimedia

Recently, the Chinese giant OPPO launched for the first time outside of China its series of OPPO Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro smartphones. Both models target the more premium segment in the mid-range. It boasts features such as striking design, high performance, solvent cameras and good fast charging. In addition, the brand presented an interesting tablet: the OPPO Pad Air.

The new OPPO Pad Air was first launched in the Indian market. The company’s tablet has debuted alongside the aforementioned OPPO Reno 8 series phones and OPPO Enco X2 TWS earphones. It should be noted that the Pad Air is OPPO’s first tablet outside of the China market. As a reminder, the device had already debuted in China in early May this year.


The OPPO Pad Air arrives to compete with models such as the Realme Pad, Xiaomi Pad 5, Nokia Tab T20 and others on the market. The international variant of the OPPO Pad Air comes with the same specifications as compared to the China model.

Specifications and features of the OPPO Pad Air

The OPPO Pad Air sports a metallic body and a two-tone back. It has a 10.36-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels and a maximum brightness of 360 nits. The tablet comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. To enhance the multimedia consumption experience, it is equipped with quad speakers.


Internally, OPPO Pad Air is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. It includes up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. Its capacity can be expanded through a MicroSD card slot. These specifications tell us about a mid-range product.

The tablet is powered by a 7,100mAh battery with support for ‘basic’ 18W fast-charging technology.


The device runs Android 12 operating system out of the box. It supports smart stylus and keyboard. Connectivity options on the tablet include a USB-C port, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1.

OPPO Pad Air price and availability

In India, the tablet starts at Rs 16,999 (about €209) for the base 4GB + 64GB option. Meanwhile, the 4 GB + 128 GB model costs Rs 19,999 (about 246 euros). The device will be available for purchase starting July 25 on Flipkart, OPPO.com, and retail stores. There are no details about its expansion to Europe yet
