the expected Motorola Edge 30 Ultra it’s official. It is a global version of the Moto X30 Pro that debuted in China last August. As a reminder, the X30 Pro was the first smartphone in the world with a 200 megapixel camera. It’s the king of the company’s premium flagship phone lineup.
Specifications and features of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra boasts a 6.67-inch P-OLED panel with curved edges and a hole punch. The display (20:9 aspect ratio) supports Full HD+ resolution (394 ppi), 144Hz refresh rate, and 360Hz touch sampling rate.
The panel offers support for 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10+ and 10-bit color depth. Its screen-to-body ratio reaches 92.12% thanks to its surrounding bezels. It also features protection through a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Internally, this model is powered by the powerful and efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Its hardware is completed with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
It draws power from a 4,610mAh battery that supports 125W TurboPower ultra-fast charging through its USB-C port. The terminal also supports 50W super fast wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. Fortunately, the powerful 125W charger is included in the box.
To boost the multimedia, there’s a pair of stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos. It is compatible with dual SIM and its NFC chip will facilitate mobile payments and connectivity. The dimensions of the terminal are 161.76 x 73.5 x 8.39 mm and its weight reaches 198.5 grams. The frame or chassis that surrounds the entire smartphone is metallic.
Here we have one of the main sections of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. There’s a rear triple camera module commanded by a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1 main camera (OIS, f/1.95 aperture). The Edge 30 Ultra runs Android 12 operating system out of the box under the lightweight My UX interface. This model supports ‘Ready For’, the brand’s own ‘desktop mode’ that is activated when connected to an external monitor. Motorola promises two Android updates, so you should get Android 13 and Android 14 in the future.
The Edge 30 Ultra is available from €899 for its 8GB RAM + 128GB variant. It will be available in two colors: Interstellar black and Starlight White.
