Motorola recently had a launch event for new smartphones for the international market. One of the protagonists of the conference was the interesting Motorola Edge 30 Fusion. This device is a ‘flagship killer’ packed with power and high-end features at a competitive price.

Screen

Motorola’s new smartphone boasts a 6.55-inch curved P-OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution (409 ppi) and a very high refresh rate of 144 Hz. The panel supports a 360 Hz touch sampling rate so that fluency is in the same vein as responsiveness.

The screen features a 20:9 aspect ratio and 10-bit color depth. There’s also 100% coverage at the DCI-P3 gamut, HDR10+, and up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness. Its fingerprint reader is integrated under the panel and is protected with Gorilla Glass 5. The thin bezels allow a screen-to-body ratio of 91.89%.

Internally, the Edge 30 Fusion is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset. Its hardware is completed with 8 GB of RAM in LPDDR5 format and 128 GB of storage in UFS 3.1 format. It receives power from a 4,400 mAh battery with support for 68W super fast charging through its USB-C port.

The body of the smartphone features a pair of stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos. There’s also IP52 certification, dual SIM and an NFC chip to make mobile payments easy.

The Edge 30 Fusion offers a solvent triple camera system in its rear area. The configuration is made up of a 50-megapixel main camera (OIS), a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear cameras support 4K UHD video recording at up to 30fps. Its front camera sensor is 32 megapixels.

System and price of the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion

The phone runs Android 12 out of the box under the company’s lightweight My UX interface. Motorola promises two big Android updates, so you should get Android 13 and Android 14 in the future.

It will be available in Europe in a single variant (8GB RAM + 128GB) for a price of 599 euros. To finish, you can choose it in four colors: Gold, Blue (vegan leather), White and Grey.
